Key features
- Unified booking calendar syncing Airbnb, Booking.com, Gathern and other platforms via iCal import/export.
- Conflict detection and alerts, multi-property and multi-unit management, and re-opening dates after cancellations.
- Smart-lock access code generation through the TTLock API.
- Authentication, Professional and Business subscription tiers, and push notifications.
- LLM-assisted workflows that turn natural-language requests into structured draft actions.
- Arabic-first Next.js marketing site with SEO and structured metadata.
03
Technical highlights
- Tenant-based backend architecture on Node.js, Fastify and PostgreSQL, containerized with Docker, with separate production and staging environments.
- iCal import/export pipeline with conflict detection, so a booking on one platform is reflected everywhere else.
- AI actions are drafts, never direct writes: the model asks for clarification when needed and nothing changes until the user explicitly confirms.
- Subscriptions through RevenueCat and push notifications through APNs.
- Internal ops tooling for monitoring users, organizations, units and calendar connections.
- The backend and database run on a private VPS hosted in Saudi Arabia.
- I chose a VPS over Firestore because background calendar sync generates a high volume of reads and writes even when users don’t open the app, and a VPS keeps the cost predictable. Trade-off: I own server updates, security, monitoring and backups.
